Collaboration with Alexandra Zuckerman

During december 2017 Quarzia collaborated to the production of Alexandra’s Kimonos for the contemporary art show at Kayu Lucie Fontaine gallery in Ubud Bali entitled:

Domesticity VI
Investigate the relationship – or lack thereof – between contemporary art and domestic spaces.

Applying Quarzia decorating skills to manufacture Alexandra’s Kimonos has been really exciting.

We explored new ways to apply colours on fabrics... with a sponge, improvising as the colour dried.

We imagined that batik technique and speed would not go together... well, this experience did change our perspective. It's definitely possible.
